Day 7 and the end of our first week!

High up on Berkner Island now, the cloud dropped and hugged the snow today, not quite a whiteout but pretty tricky to make much out in front of us. The change in weather seemed to affect the snow surface making it stickier and harder to drag our sleds. A tough day spent alternatively peering in to the murk then back at our compass as we hauled our loads steadily onwards, not infrequent curses ringing out as we came across unexpected ridges and drops. Fingers crossed for the return of the sun tomorrow.

We’d like to dedicate our first week to everyone at Grant Thornton, thank you so much for all your support. We always knew the first week was going to be one of the toughest and we knew you would be cheering us on. Bob is going well!
